Hibiscus is native to Africa and is a symbol of grace and beauty. The calyces of the Hibiscus flower (which form the outer covering of the flower buds) are dried and used to make a rosy, citrus flavored tea. Rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C, this herb also contains beta-carotene, making it an antioxidant. We do not recommend this tea be served with milk, as hibiscus will cause it to curdle, but sugar can be added to enhance the taste. When brewed, this hibiscus herbal tea tastes similar to lemonade.
